Real Economy Cooking Workshop: sweet snacks without sugar

The Avonmouthful Real Food Club and Cook Eat and Travel invite you to try making delicious snacks without using sugar!

You can improve your confidence in cooking at home, and get an essential repertoire of skills that can be applied to a variety of pastry recipes. You’ll learn to enhance the flavour of ingredients while you learn cuisine techniques.

Sugar is an incredibly addictive, potentially harmful substance - you will use raw ingredients, such as nuts, power balls, and cocoa.

Cooking methods involved will range from baking to frying. As a Real Economy food club we source ingredients from local food producers and suppliers. No prior knowledge is required, suitable for both novices and cooks. All welcome!

The Avonmouth Real Food Club is a Real Economy Co-operative. Real Food Clubs order their food directly from local producers for delivery to a collection point in their neighbourhood. The clubs also encourage their members to take an interest in food, often cooking together, discovering new tastes and recipes, or visiting a farm so they can see where it all comes from.

This is a free event. Text or call Tasha on 0794 422 9085 or email [email protected] to reserve your place.
