Going for Gold? Bristol’s Good Food Conference 2016

Join us to celebrate Bristol’s recent Sustainable Food City Award at ‘Silver’ level and to explore how we can now ‘Go for Gold’. We invite businesses, organisations and activists from across the city who are already doing amazing work around food, and those who want to be doing more, to look at how we can achieve “Gold” together. 

We have an incredible line-up of people and organisations who have all contributed significantly to Bristol’s silver award and will be sharing their learning, experiences and ideas on the day, these include:

The day includes 3 back-to-back events (bookable separately), one focused on businesses, and another for the wider food community, and will conclude with a networking session celebrating all the fantastic food work in the city that has helped us get this far.

This is a partnership event from Bristol Food Network, Bristol Food Producers & Bristol Food Policy Council, supported by Bristol City Council, Go Green and Green Capital Partnership.

Please note you do need to purchase a ticket for each session in order to secure a place at it. As numbers are limited for each of the 3 different sessions due to the capacity of the theatre and other networking space available. 

09:30am – 12:15pm Good Food Business Brunch: Join us to discover the many innovative ways Bristol businesses are putting Good Food on the menu - for the benefit of the local economy, environment as well as a happy, healthy workforce - and find out how your business can benefit and get involved.

12:40pm – 4:00pm Good Food Lunch & Conference: Let’s celebrate our Silver Success with the people from across the city who have made it possible, and to explore how together we can Go for Gold.

  • £7.50* - standard price, admits one
  • £5 – community food activist / group member, admits one
  • £5 Donation – Are you able to subsidise a ticket for an unwaged individual to enable them to attend? We are doing the event on a shoestring but want to make sure it is accessible and affordable for everyone who is working so hard to make good food a reality in Bristol. We really appreciate if you are able to do this thank you! Go on it will make you feel good.

4:30pm – 6:00pm Sustainable Food City Silver Award & Networking: Formal presentation with a celebratory social to round off the day.
