The Travelling Kitchen

Come one, come all to the Travelling Kitchen and join us as we embark on a culinary historical journey from Tudor times, right through to the Twentieth Century.

We’ll explore how Bristol’s trading history, and more recently immigration to Bristol, have influenced both the foods that our ancestors ate, and the food that we eat today.

Along the way children will learn bread- and pastry-making techniques and basic knife skills. At the end of the workshop children will take away recipe cards for the dishes they they have made and a picnic bag of dishes they have cooked to share with their family and friends.

This is a free event for children aged 8-12. Parents will have to amuse themselves!
