Online Cookalong with the Fuss Free Foodie

Sometimes, finding the time, inspiration and motivation to cook at home with the children can be a challenge. Let The Fuss Free Foodie guide you through a cook-along session for you and your children.

Get online and enjoy the session with your children from the comfort of your home! All you need to do is buy in the ingredients, prepare your equipment and wait for your step-by-step instructions.

Engaging children in cooking is a great way to spark an interest in food, where it comes from and how it is prepared. Give your children a tuition session with The Fuss Free Foodie!

This is a free event, happening via Facebook Live – so you’ll need to be prepare and weigh out ingredients in advance!

Shopping list:

Olive oil
Red wine vinegar
75g couscous
90ml hot (kettle) water
¼ cucumber (approx. 80g)
A handful of tomatoes (cherry or smaller toms) (approx. 70g)
2 spring onions (approx. 40g)
12 mint leaves (approx. 5g) ( or parsley, dill)
60g feta cheese
1/3 lemon
½ tsp oregano
Salt and pepper

Equipment:

Apron
Small jar (an old jam jar that has been thoroughly washed)
Large bowl
Small bowl
1 dinner plate (that will happily sit on top of the large bowl)
1 teaspoon, 1 fork, 1 knife you are happy for your child to chop with (can be an eating knife)
1 chopping board
Measuring spoons (or extra teaspoon and tablespoon)
Dish to serve the salad
