Elizabeth David was a legendary British food and cookery writer. During the mid-twentieth century she has a huge influence on British home cooking, reinvigorating and revitalising the public’s passion for cooking with her books about traditional British dishes.

Enjoy a mouthwatering four course dinner cooked by some of Bristol’s finest chefs: Barny Haughton, Stuart Seth, and Spike Island Cafe’s own, Robert Leeburn. Over the meal, you’ll explore Elizabeth David’s legacy in British cooking in order to look forward to the future of British cooking, as the chefs cook up some of David’s most famous dishes

The meal is a fundraiser to raise money for Squarefood foundation – a Bristol-based project which teaches people from all walks of life to cook good food from scratch. There will be a raffle on the night to raise further funds.
