A Taste of the Theatre Archives
The University of Bristol Theatre Collection contains one of the world’s largest archives of British theatre history and among the holdings stored there are items related to food: from celebrity signed menus to quirky designs by Oliver Messel for the book ‘Delightful Food’, and from 1950s chocolate wrappers found under the floorboards of the Bristol Old Vic to a piece of toast used as advertising!
Have an informal look at these items and more, and chat to Theatre Collection staff who will be on hand. Please book your attendance in advance.
