Cook ‘n Converse - ‘Zim Simmer, who’s got the cheese for my dinner?’

The Cook & Converse events bring together those facing significant challenges when it comes to accessing good healthy food, with those in a position to do something about it.

Through cooking demonstrations using 5 different stations, young people will work with the elderly to explore recipes, share skills and pass on knowledge.

Exploring how intergenerational cooking and conversation can help both the young and the old to eat better and look after themselves and each other. Working with Linkage to engage with the elderly, plus the YMCA to reach marginalised young people.

These people will the invite guests and business leaders, health workers, and decision-makers from the local council to share food, whilst evoking a discussion about the challenges faced by these communities, and potential solutions for when it comes to cooking for themselves.

There will also be an appearance by Luke Thomas, the youngest Head Chef in the Country to inspire the younger crowd and delight the elders!
