Fact: 90% of what we own or use has spent time, at some point, on a container ship. This global cargo system is as complex as it is carbon-intensive and it is largely unseen (out of sight, out of mind)….yet it underpins our entire economy.
Meet Alex, Kate and Kayle. Their projects aim to bring food trade back to a human scale and challenge us to a more conscious consumerism. They will discuss how to shift cargo on tall-ships or in other people’s luggage and how to reverse-engineer a product owned by a multinational corporation, just for the fun of it.
