It’s April Food Day – experience the very best of this food city as Bristol Food Connections tickets go on sale.
Today, 1st April 2019, has been renamed April Food Day by Bristol Food Connections and you are all invited! In June, Bristol will throw open its doors inviting people to a cornucopia of food experiences in the four corners of the city and beyond. Bristol Food Connections is a community food festival for everyone – if you love food you will find something for you as well as dozens of new food experiences.
Today, 1st April tickets go on sale for all community events. From ‘Eats Beats and Boats!’ to ‘Getting Pickled not Wasted’ Bristol comes alive from 12th to 23rd June.
Claire Peeters, chief executive of Bristol Food Connections said today; “We’re thrilled to share over 70 community events from across Bristol on April Food Day. It seems apt to rename the day, for just this year, as the events, supper clubs, workshops and talks happening across Bristol in June are truly amazing and there is nothing foolish about food in this city.”
Keep your eyes peeled for further announcements from the Bristol Food Connections team in the coming days as this year’s food festival programme of demonstrations, talks and debates being hosted at a new festival hub is announced.
Grace Ekall, who is hosting an event called Cameroon and the Commonwealth said: “For me, Bristol Food Connections is about celebrating individuals, communities and the diversity of the cultures in Bristol. It is a brilliant way to promote acceptance, explore delightful dishes and flavours from different parts of the world. It brings people together and inspires people to get cooking.”
