Bristol Food Connections festival is a citywide celebration of food of epic proportions.
From 11th – 17th June 2018, residents and visitors alike will be taken on a journey of exploration and discovery of all that is GREAT about food in Bristol (and beyond) through a cornucopia of events that are sure to tantalise and tempt, educate and enlighten.
It’s a week when food takes over the city, and we shine a light on all the great people, businesses and organisations that make Bristol’s food culture so uniquely independent and creative – celebrating every aspect of the journey of food – from field to fork.
For more on this years event please visit our Festival 2018 page.
Food Connections first took place in 2014 and ran in both subsequent years. The BBC Food and Farming Awards have been proudly hosted in Bristol since 2013, and from 2014-16 were the launch event of Bristol Food Connections, attracting UK-wide coverage on TV, radio and online and some of the biggest names in the UK food world to the city.
In 2017, we took a year off from the full festival but our ‘We Are Food’ event brought together over 300 people from the Bristol food community to explore the role of Food Connections in nurturing our city’s food culture.
Also in 2017, the team behind the festival became an organisation in our own right and Bristol Food Connections, CIC was born. Meet the team here. We’d all like to offer a massive thanks to Bristol Food Network for hosting the event from 2014 to 2017.
