Food Connections would not be possible without the help and support of our amazing sponsors. A HUGE thank you to…..
New to Bristol last year, Farmdrop is rapidly helping our city to combine convenience with conscience when it comes to our groceries – delivering farmers’ market food direct from hundreds of local producers to your door.
Farmdrop is on a mission to fix what they believe to be a broken food chain. By offering farmers 75% of the sale price, they’re offering roughly double what would be paid by supermarkets – helping local, ethical producers of the highest quality produce to stay in business, while their ‘lean middle man’ approach means their prices our also kind to our pockets.
What’s more, Farmdrop’s unique ‘click and pick’ technology dramatically shortens the food supply chain, meaning their fresh food is guaranteed to be more than 5 times fresher than food from the supermarket!

Festival Communications Partner
We’re delighted to have the team at Wonderland on board as our communications partner this year. An absolute joy to work with, and the least ‘PR’ PR agency ever – they have been helping us to spread the word about this year’s Food Connections events, as well as our new vision and direction.
In their own words, they’re “a band of ballsy, strategic and proudly unconventional people” – and we can certainly vouch for that! They believe in honesty, curiosity, creativity and above all else doing brilliant work for the people and brands they believe in.
Their contribution has been hugely valuable, and has made the difference between a great event and an off-the-scale event.
Bristol Fruit Market:
‘Fruit Machine’ Project Partner
Bristol Fruit Market has been keeping the city’s restaurants, shops and businesses supplied with the finest produce from around the world since 1917. Based in St Phillips Marsh, the Market is a hive of activity throughout the week, when hundreds of buyers from all over the city vie for produce that comes in directly from farms in the UK and beyond.
Last year, the Fruit Market was 100 years old, and to mark this auspcious occasion, Food Connections is delighted to be teaming up with the market for a special project during Festival week.
The Fruit Machine is an Apprentice-inspired challenge for teams of year ten students representing Bedminster Down School, Henbury School and Cotham School.
The teams will haggle for fruit and vegetables with different vendors at the Fruit Market, before taking to the streets of Bristol to sell their wares – competing to be crowned the ‘Fruit Market Apprentices.’ Come to the Habourside Market at lunchtime on Thursday 14th June to support their selling task, and check out the film after the event on the Bristol Fruit Market website: www.bristolfruitmarket.com

A big thank you to Bristol24/7 – our programme partner for 2018 and a great media partner.
We’re so pleased to be working with B24/7 whose social impact agenda based on inspiring communities and celebrating diversity is so close to our own hearts. With the lion’s share of their profits being reinvested into the company and their ongoing community projects, like us they work to engage the whole of Bristol, so we couldn’t hope for a better partner to help get the word out about the festival.
