The Sikh Temple in St George will open its doors to show visitors the workings of the Sikh langar, or free kitchen.

The institution of the Sikh langar was designed to uphold the principle of equality between all people regardless of religion, caste, colour, creed, age, gender or social status. Visitors will see what’s being cooked and can share breakfast or lunch with the congregation during the day. The food is vegetarian, simple, delicious and cooked fresh at
the Gurdwara; the Sikh place of worship.
