No.1 Canons Rd

The team at No.1 Harbourside is putting on a series of events over the course of the festival.

  • Sunday 4 May | 4 – 6pm | Free! The No.1 team will lead a delicious tasting session with cheese from our local suppliers paired with a range of Orchard Pig and Severn Ciders.
  • Tuesday 6 May | 5 – 7pm | Free! Using sustainable fish supplied by Wing of St. Mawes, the No.1 chefs will talk through alternative techniques for cooking readily available fish, with some free tasters of course!
  • Wednesday 7 May | 6 – 7pm | Free! The Ethicurean will lead an introduction to the history of Vermouth and how they make their Somerset Vermouth. 20 places available, book here.
  • Thursday 8 May | 5 – 7pm | Free! Using locally, ethically sourced meat from Powell’s of Olveston, The No.1 chefs will talk through techniques for preparing dishes and offering some delicious free tasters.
  • Saturday 10 May | 5 – 6pm | Free! Learn to make Japanese stock using UK ingredients with The Ethicurean team. 20 places available, book here.
  • Saturday 10 May | 6.15pm – 7pm | £5 The Ethicurean’s Jack Adair will lead a tasting and cocktail demonstration using New Dawn Traders’ A Tres Hombre Rum. Book here. 
  • Sunday 11 May | 5pm onwards | Free! The No.1 team will deliver an exciting menu of small plates, ideal for sharing, using ingredients inspired by the locality and the season. Look out for dishes featured in the food tastings from earlier in the week, as well as a selection of new dishes for the forthcoming seasonal menu. Yum!
