Food Connections City Centre Festival

The cornerstone event of Bristol Food Connections will transform Bristol’s city centre into a giant food celebration from Saturday, May 3 to Bank Holiday Monday, May 5. The event is expected to attract up to 25,000 people with a large-scale producers market in the Amphitheatre produced by Love Food Festival, Slow Food International on College Green, a street food festival in Millennium Square, the BBC At Bristol Food Connections in Waterfront Square and Eat Drink Bristol Fashion in Queen Square.

Love Food Producers Market

Shop till you drop at the Love Food Producers Market in The Amphitheatre. Sixty producers from all over the South West will come together to form a show stopping market. Buy delicious produce directly from the growers and makers and pick up tips, ideas and enthusiasm as you explore new flavours and stock up on the very best ingredients the region has to offer.

 BBC @ Bristol Food Connections

BBC At Bristol Food Connections, is a free, family-friendly event, featuring ‘affordable, achievable and inspirational’ cooking demonstrations with a host of celebrity chefs including Tom Kerridge, the stars of Junior Bake Off and Junior MasterChef, and lots of other hands-on fun activities.

Street Food Festival

Millenium Sqaure will play host to a vast array of street food vendors who’ll be
delighting your tastebuds with fresh, authentic dishes from around the world.

Slow Food International

Our very special guests from Slow Food International will be running a pop-up Pizzeria in the middle of College Green, with top chefs at the helm who have travelled from Italy just to give guests the chance to see how real artisanal pizza is made and to taste the authentic ingredients. This may be the best pizza you ever eat!

The adjacent Forgotten Foods Market will showcase 25 artisan producers from the UK, selected by Slow Food for their regional representation of endangered foods and techniques. This is a rare opportunity to learn about and taste some of the UK’s best and hidden produce.

Kids’ Activities

Our young visitors will love the thoughtful selection of activities on offer for
them in Anchor Square; they can enjoy planting workshops with Edible Bristol,
cooking with the National Trust as part of their ’50 Things to do before you are
11 ¾ campaign’, soil based experiments from the Soil Association, hands on food
science activities with At-Bristol, arts and crafts, circus skills and much more.

At-Bristol

At-Bristol will host a series of food related talks, discussions, panel sessions,
tastings and demos for those of you who would like to get to the bottom of a
subject.
