Love Food Children’s Area

Date: 2 May 2015; 3 May 2015; 4 May 2015, from 10:00 until 18:00.

Join us for a wonderful line up of children’s activities hosted by Love Food Festival.

Across Grow Festival there are things for all ages, whether you’re green-fingered, a kitchen whizz or even fancy trying out a spot of yoga!

There’s loads of kids crafts taking place in the Riverford Yurt across the bank holiday, including pipe cleaner worms, hanging cress gardens and fishing for your 5 a day!

In our ‘Get Cooking’ pod the Children’s University will be taking over on Saturday with the Children’s Kitchen where kids can cook up a storm with Freddy Bird. Have a go at making seasonal ravioli or delicious ice cream, and discover the joy of learning about food!

Sunday will see the wonderful Bob Andrew from Riverford showing us a million wonderful ways with vegetables, and you can make vegetable spaghetti spirals, delectable dips and dunks and snazzy salads and jam jar dressings.

On Monday Baby Bites will be hosting a baby banquet, where you can pick up tips and tricks for feeding the under 5s, followed by Jo Ingleby who will be running drop-in cookery sessions for children throughout the afternoon, featuring easy recipes to take away and enjoy.

On 1.15pm in the Grow Pod you can catch a kids yoga session with Sophie Bolton from the Bristol Health Hub, and find about the benefits it can provide for your children, including enhanced concentration and self esteem, and balance for the body and mind.

If all of that wasn’t enough, take in one of our roaming performers. We’ve got buskers, story tellers, circus skills, musicians and more! It’s set to be a wonderful weekend, so come and join us!
