Speaker Profiles

Sara Venn

Head of Incredible Edible Bristol, Sara has 20 years in horticulture and is a master composter, organic nursery specialist, garden consultant and garden historian. Keep an eye out for her guerrilla gardening exploits across Bristol in unexpected places. She’ll be hosting composting Q&As, talks and a special Bristol version of Gardeners Question Time in the Grow pod.

Rob Yorke

Rob Yorke is a rural surveyor and passionate commentator on rural affairs. He has lived in west Scotland, north England, London and now permanently in south Wales. Catch him at 4.15pm in the Grow pod on Monday 4th May discussing the issues around affordable food production in today’s environment.

Kevin Frediani

Kevin Frediani is Head of Sustainable Land Use at Bicton College he is responsible for all land based education for production and consumption. He is also the project lead for Bicton@Dartington, the UK’s first sustainable land use Institute and the site of a 200 hectare working fossil free farming college based at Dartington Hall Trusts Estate in Devon. Kevin will be discussing urban agriculture on Saturday 2nd May at 2pm in the Grow pod.

Jade Hallie BSc Dip CNM

Jade is a Graduate of the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Nutrition. She is the owner of Corsets and Cake, a specialist service empowering women to improve their health and beauty naturally through food. Jade also teaches and supports schools and members of the local community to make healthy lifestyle changes. Find out more about naturopathic medicine with Jade at 1.15pm on Saturday 2nd May in the Grow pod.

Sam Bloomfield

Having survived growing up in a healing community outside Glastonbury Sam has worked as a healer and body worker since he was 16 years old. Over the past 5 years he has also worked on the ground and managing teams working with some of the most traumatised individuals in care, and as an emotional literacy and physical intervention trainer. He is a full member of the College of Healing, a published performance poet, writing consultant and seasoned workshop leader. He is currently studying for an MA in Dance and Movement Psychotherapy. Perhaps most importantly he is a father of two grown ups, a teenager and a pre-teen.

 

Dominique Sakoilsky

Dominique Sakoilsky is the founder director of Relaxed Birth and Parenting, has been working with families for over 25 years, and has spent over 10 years working at Relate as a family counsellor and couple therapist before going on to work both privately and in other organisations.

Rosalind Turner

Rosalind from Netwalking South West describes herself as an interdisciplinary practitioner. With her formal training in the arts, a background which includes the design and delivery of events, training and latterly, provoked by an abiding interest in personal and professional development, a post graduate diploma in Humanistic Psychology entitled Leadership, Facilitation and Coaching.
