Grab your wellies; we’re going on a farm road trip! Heading to Chew Moo’s in Dundry, you’ll meet their herd of Guernsey cows, get a behind-the-scenes tour of the milking parlour and hear about their venture into making ice cream.
From there we visit The Community Farm, who supplies Better Food with organic veggies. We’ll have a bring-your-own picnic lunch on the farm, and then not only will you discover more about the farmers and their work, you’ll get a chance to join in with some digging and planting too.
This is a great opportunity to learn about where food comes from. There’s fun to be had, as well as an important lesson in local sustainable produce, the people who make it, and the methods they use.
£10 per person. The minibus will leave from Better Food, St Werburghs, BS2 9LB at 10:00am, and stop at Better Food Whiteladies Road, 94 Whiteladies Rd, BS8 2QX, at 10:10am.
