COOKERY DEMOS

Throughout Food Connections we’ve got cooking demonstrations from some of the industry’s top chefs who’ll be inspiring you to cook up some delicious dishes and showing you the tricks of the trade.

The Lab - the hub for Bristol 2015, European Green Capital - will host demonstrations with chefs from across Bristol and the South West covering a whole host of topics from filleting fish to cooking for health.

Learn how to make Chinese dumplings with Danielle Coombs, of Bishopston Supper Club, and Jo Chow of Wai Yee Hong Chinese supermarket.

And, there’s the ‘Get Cooking’ pod at Grow Festival where children and families can rediscover the joy of cooking and get stuck into some fun-filled, creative activities. For the really little ones, parents will have the opportunity to try their hand at making wholesome and nourishing baby foods and find out how to guarantee the best start in life for their children.

At the Spice Festival in Easton, Bini Ludlow of Sweet Cumin will take to the demonstration stage, joined by Romy Gill of Romy’s Kitchen and other renowned chefs from the Bristol area.

Local chef Jo Ingleby will be cooking up a storm in Windmill City Farm’s new outdoor kitchen. Children will be taken on a harvest and taste adventure around the farm’s vegetable gardens and will learn to cook some delicious, seasonal dishes.

Join Claire around the baker’s table at Hart’s Bakery for 5 O’Clock Apron as she cooks dishes from her new cookbook. Healthy, imaginative and delicious food that you AND your child will both love.
